Riley Keough
American
actress Danielle Riley Keough. Her birthplace was in Santa Monica, California,
to musicians Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough, she is a grandchild of the
actress Priscilla Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised in Hawaii
by her father, and in Los Angeles by her mother. She also lived between
California and Tennessee with her mother. At age 15, she began modeling,
including appearances in fashion shows with Dolce & Gabbana and
Christian Dior in addition to being featured on the cover of Vogue. The first
time she appeared in a feature film was at the age of 20 when she played a
supporting part in the film Marie Currie in The Runaways (2010). After The Good
Doctor (2011) she starred in Jack & Diane (2012). She was then cast as
a minor character in Steven Soderbergh's comedy Magic Mike (2012). Keough has
appeared in other independent films in 2012 which included Yellow and Kiss of
the Damned, before making an appearance in the high-budget action film Mad Max:
Fury Road (2015), the fourth film in the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough had
her breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort in the first season of the
anthology series The Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh
and based on his 2009 film of the same name. Her role received praise from the
critics, and she was nominated for an award called the Golden Globe Award for
Best Performance by an actress in a small motion-picture or series created for
television. The following performance of Keough as a wayward young female in
the drama American Honey (2017) earned her further acclaim, including an
Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Female. Keough also
starred in the 2017 apocalyptic thriller movie It Comes at Night. She also
appeared with Soderbergh for Logan Lucky, his heist film. In the year 2018, she
starred in a number of horror and thriller movies, including Lars von Trier's
The House That Jack Built and the Neo-Noir Under the Silver Lake and Hold the
Dark. Keough played the lead character in The Lodge, a psychological horror
movie. Zola is Keough's comedy-drama sequel. Keough portrays Sandy Harrison in
Netflix’s 2020 release of The Devil All the Time.
