Alona Tal

Alona Tal is an Israeli-American actress and singer. She was born in Herzliya on the 20th of October 1983. Following her service in the Israeli Defense Forces, she began her career. In 2003, she was a star in an Israeli movie. This was her major breakthrough. She also appeared in two Israeli television series at the time. She also experimented with recording songs in collaboration with Subliminal, an Israeli rapper. Tal was able to move in with her sister to New York in order to get a break from her work. In the track "Party to Damascus" she performed in a duet with Wyclefjean from Haiti. She also managed to establish herself as a character on American TV, starting with a recurring role in the series Veronica Mars: She originally tried out for the lead role, but creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character exclusively for her. Tal eventually got an appointment as a regular character on the CBS series. After moving to New York, he appeared in two TV shows in Israel. Wyclef Jean was her singer. Hebrew is her first language. Second place in the auditions for the role of Veronica Mars (2004). The auditions were initially unsuccessful, and she was Rob Thomas' second choice. Thomas loved her so much that he decided to make the recurring role Meg Manning for her. He was in The Israel Defense Forces. Both of her parents are Jewish and her father is Turkish/Jewish, and her mother is Polish/Jewish. She is Adrian Monk's wife who was murdered in the last episode of Monk (2002).
