Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18, 1979) is an American actress. Her most famous work is her role as Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara / the Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. She also played the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played one small part in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on the 18th of December 1979 in Washington, D.C. She was raised in Sterling, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. When she was at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville She began her acting career in a variety of college, amateur professional and amateur stage productions. Swallow graduated from Stanton College's Preparatory School in Jacksonville in 2001 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies. She was then able to go on to study to earn an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2008 she made her film debut with The Lucky Ones, a military drama. The show was the world premiere of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse, opposite Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins the production of Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre, and in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. In 2010 she won the Falstaff Award as best female performer for her role in The Taming of the Shrew. She also performed alongside Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical, Romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theater Club. The show revolves around the hilarious mishaps and adventures of Jac Huberman and her friend Swallow when they confront a variety of issues in their lives to different degrees of difficulty.
