She educated at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual
Arts located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas. She later earned a BFA
diploma from Stephens College in acting and further studied at the British
American Drama Academy. Additionally, she spent six years at the well-known
Dallas Theatre Center and one year with that theatre's Encore Company. Before
making her debut on the big screen, she started her acting career in the
theater. Her credits for theater include "As You Like It" as well as
the "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" The
"Measure for Measure", the "Baby" and the
"Chicago" productions, in addition to other shows. Her most memorable
appearance was in Michael Cristofer's HBO TV series Gia (1998) with Angelina
Jolie. She made her name famous for both viewers and critics. In the following
sci-fi adventure Frequency (2000) featuring Dennis Quaid and Neil LaBute's
eagerly anticipated Nurse Betty (2000) opposite Renee Zellweger, Elizabeth
showed her impressive acting abilities. Elizabeth Mitchell is an actor with a wide
range of credits, including films, television series and theaters. She broke
her nose while filming of the film Frequency (2000). Hertz Rent-A-Car ad for

Lee Smith, ex-Brent from One Life to Live (1968), in Manhattan's Upper West
Side. Parents are real estate and tax lawyers with their own firm that is

theatre as Rosalind and then returning to the U.S. after having been in Europe
for a few months. Soon after her birth in LA in 1970, her parents moved to
Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School of the
Performing and Visual Arts in downtown Dallas, Texas. In 1991 she graduated
from Stephens College with a Fine Arts degree. Participated in Man and Boy
(2002) with Ioan Gruffudd. It ran on BBC 1 TV in March 2002.
