Markie Post
Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek,
California. Her career began in television and film productions such as
"Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Then, she
created such projects as Double Dare (1976). She has also been featured on TV programs
such as 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman
and Dyna Girl (2001). Her most famous TV performance was as "Christine
Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). She appeared in the show's 156 episodes
from 1984 to 1992. She was the daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet, and
noted nuclear physicist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7 15th,
2015). Two daughters were born to her husband, Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross
(born June 26 1987) and Daisy Ross (born March 30 90, 1990). Was born in Palo
Alto, California, and grew up in Walnut Creek, California. She attended Las
Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California; she was a cheerleader. She
earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College, Portland
Oregon. She was an act in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her ashes
were brought home to Michael A. Ross, her husband. She was a lifelong Democrat.
Markie Post, who was three months from her 71st birthday on November 4 2021,
died on August 7. She passed away just 27 days following her fellow Night Court
(1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed died on July 11, 2021. Although the
two shows were not connected, Night Court (1984) was the final show to end with
Christine Sullivan's character relocating to Washington DC. Hearts Afire
(1992), began with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts
Afire (1992), and she later moved to a small community after her stint in
Washington DC.
