Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
from the United States. She was previously the TV reporter for ABC News. She is
known for her role as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend from 2015 to
2018, and being co-host of The View from 2015 to in 2018. Prior to this she was
co-anchor of America This Morning (World News Now) and America This Morning
(America This Morning). After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to limited TV opportunities she was employed
in sales for radio. After a year of working as a production assistant for
WKEF/WRGT, she was eventually allowed to anchor and report at times. She was
the anchor for weekends for WCPO TV in Cincinnati and the weekday anchor at
WCPO TV in Cincinnati from 2002 to 2005. She was a sports reporter at the NBC's
Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV between November 2005 and December 2011, when her
contract had expired. In December 2011, she was hired by ABC News the division
for news of ABC. The 2nd of January, 2012 she debuted on the ABC network's
World News Now and America This Morning. She was a reporter and substitute for
Good Morning America during this time. Later she was promoted as a reporter
based in New York for the entire ABC News programs. She was not able to make it
to the final show of World News Now or America This Morning. It was on January
22 2013. Her debut was on Good Morning America Weekend as co-anchor on
September 9, 2014. The move came shortly after Bianna Golodryga moved to Yahoo!
News. On August 25, 2015, ABC announced she would join The View as a co-host
for season 19. The show revealed on August 3 in 2016 that she had been renewed
for her contract for the twentieth season. Season 21 was also renewed with
co-hosting duties. She was a regular guest on episodes on Fridays in the 21st
and 22nd seasons.
