Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario
Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke, and Doug Chalke are her parents. She is
the middle child. She has one older sister, Natasha Chalke and one younger
sister, Piper Chalke. Sarah's acting debut was in City Boy (1992), the
TV-produced film. Following her debut film, Sarah auditioned for the role as
Becky on Roseanne (1988) in 1993. The show was looking for someone to replace
Alicia Goranson, who left the show to go to studies at college. Sarah graduated
from high school in 1995 and began filming the 1994-1995 Roseanne (1988)
season. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in Ernest Goes to School
(1994). She also appeared in Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against
Fear(1996). In these films, she played the role of Krista Wilson as an athlete.
Sarah was asked to play a character in a TV series named Nothing Too Good for a
Cowboy (1998) in the year after Roseanne (1988). Based on the show Nothing Too
Good For a Cowboy (1998) on which the show also had a basis. The role was taken
over by Becky in Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. She stated that
she would like to end her acting career and pursue a degree in college. (2001)
(1993-1997) Was the older sister of Sara Gilbert on Roseanne (1988) however she
is younger in real life. Participated in the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony, where
she received an award for the best single of the year. September 1999 8 was in
Vancouver stage productions. A native speaker of French, German and Spanish.
She helps out at a hospice for sick children and also works for the Audrey
Hepburn Children's Fund. In her leisure moments, Chalke prefers cooking with
acquaintances (especially Thai and sushi) as well as playing the guitar as well
as hiking, skiing (she's an instructor) or snowboarding, kayaking and reading.
Her father is an attorney and both of her parents manage an agency for adoption
of children. Her parents took her to China to coordinate the adoptions of
multiple orphans.
